An Idea

I find that on most days I wait for something magical to happen. Believing in the adventure life gives us is never enough; I want to be discovered. Do I have many hidden talents or just one? Who in this world has what it takes to find out who I truly am? A person of many different lives lived and yet I am never able to settle in my role. This brings me sorrow for what I may have missed and joy for what may come.

Theres an old saying that a jack of many trades is a master of none. That must be about me. If I am to be who I am to be then what does that mean? Searching for the wonders on the edge of mankind’s imagination can be a lonely journey… what great force has determined that I should serve my time in solitude? I cannot answer these questions as I have once said that someone or something must discover my truth.

Like an unfinished puzzle with many pieces scattered about, my life is an unclear picture. We know that there is direction. We know that with dedication and hard work an end is in sight. To what that end is I cannot know. If you were to say to me, “Ezra get your head out of the clouds and put your feet on the ground!” I would respond by saying, “It is not I who am floating about. It is the fog that’s found its way to the ground and blurs us from our dreams.” Too many times do people come and go, on and from my path. Yet I have hope that one day I shall be lead down the road that leads me to my fate. I am a sailing ship and the winds have left me adrift.

The sky is always blue and the grass is always green. That is until it the clouds turn grey and the ground is brown with mud. Ebb and flow, here and there if only I were not stuck with time flowing around me. I am a fixture in this universe and because of that I am doomed to wait. Those that I love and those that I despise never seem to understand what it is I know about them? Even those with the best intentions are never always right. This is about the seeable patterns that surround us. I hope to break them. Here is my tale.
